  • About Radon in Massachusetts

High levels of radon have been found in neighborhoods across Massachusetts. Radon testing and radon mitigation have become more prevalent in the past few years due increased awareness of the impact radon gas has on the air we breathe in our homes and workplaces. Homeowners, realtors, builders and municipalities are issuing guidelines and regulations across the country encouraging testing and mitigation of radon in homes and businesses in Massachusetts.

At SWAT Environmental, we are committed to protecting family, friends and neighbors in Massachusetts from radon exposure.

  • SWAT Environmental of Massachusetts Reviews

    Paul English, Massachusetts

My father had recently passed away and during the sale of his home, an inspection showed radon levels of 36.0 pCi/L (9x the recommended threshold). Due to health concerns, the new buyers were looking to get the radon levels lower than the EPA guidelines. They wanted to be sure the level would drop to below 2.7 pCi/L. After a thorough discussion with SWAT, we designed a mitigation system that took in the layout of the home and certain key construction elements. The system was installed and one week later, the post-mitigation test was run by my buyers. Happily, the sale of the home went through without a hitch and the radon concentrations were reduced to 0.6 pCi/L!
