Sub-Slab Depressurization Radon System
Radon Mitigation System Information
Standard Sub-slab Depressurization Systems are installed in homes or businesses with slab flooring. The radon mitigation system is made up of PVC piping and involves running the piping from the sub-slab radon collection point created to the fan that is mounted on the exterior, the radon gas is expelled from the building through the stack that extends past the roof line.
The system works by creating a negative pressure under the home where the radon collection point has been established, with this type of system there is one radon collection chamber. The radon fan that is mounted outside of the building must run continuously in order for the system to work correctly to mitigate the radon from the home or building. From the 2 radon collection chamber under the slab the radon gas is collected and the systems fan will pull the radon gas from under the home out of the radon collection chamber and route the gas safely through the exterior piping where the gas exits the building out of the radon systems exterior stack.Second Tap Sub-slab Radon Mitigation System
