Hastings, Nebraska is found in the rich fertile soils in the South-Central Nebraska. The city state was given the name Hastings after a Colonel who helped build the rail through the Adams County. The European immigrants were the first settlers followed by the Germans, Danes and the Irish people.

The Adams County, to which this Hastings Ne, is found, has magnificent buildings such as the Victorian Buildings in the 19th century. After the World War II, the housing was newly redeveloped. Towards the end of 1942, Hastings’ population had grown to 23,000 in less than a year. Outrightly, there was a shortage of housing units. This happened following the establishment of the Naval Ammunition Depot which triggered migration.
